Thinking About a Nurse Practitioner Residency?

Learn more about Midlevels for the Medically Underserved in our upcoming webinar!

If you're thinking about applying for a nurse practitioner residency, we hope you're considering Midlevels for the Medically Underserved (MMU). MMU is a learning adventure for less experienced NPs looking for support in their first year of practice.

There are a few ways MMU supports new graduate nurse practitioners in their quest for career confidence and competence.

1. Education

Learning doesn't stop when you graduate from your NP program. There's still a lot to know to master patient care! MMU supports participating nurse practitioners with didactic learning experiences. Master suturing and procedural skills at our kickoff conference in Nashville. Enhance your clinical knowledge by learning from experts in our weekly meet ups.

2. Peer Group

The transition from education to practice is a challenge, no matter how you do it. The learning curve is steep. As every nurse practitioner student has learned, going through challenges is better with friends. MMU provides a supportive peer group you can lean on as you make the transition from education to practice.

3. Placement

We've got the job search covered for you! When you apply to MMU, we get a good idea as to the type of practice setting you are interested as well as the geographic location in which you would like to live and work. Through our matching process, we pair you with a facility that meets your needs. Our sites understand what it looks like to be a new grad NP and offer plenty of support through mentorship and by having reasonable expectations along the way.
