Have Something to Say about Nurse Practitioner Life? Calling for Contributors!

We get emails everyday form MidlevelU readers with something to share. Whether it's frustration over the NP program application process, exhilaration after receiving that first acceptance letter, disappointment when a job isn't all it was cracked up to be, or thoughts on legislation regarding nurse practitioners, we hear you. As nurse practitioners in all phases of our education and careers, we've got something to share.

The MidlevelU team loves researching, writing, and sharing our experiences on the blog. Many of you agree with our musings, and some of you don't. And, that's part of what makes the blog great! One of our goals for MidlevelU is to be a place where nurse practitioners can come to be enriched. Whether pursing an NP education, or nearing retirement, we want to be able to share and learn from each other.

This process has begun with the MyMidlevelU message board, but some of you have more than a quick comment, piece of advice, or critique to share. So, here at MidlevelU we are accepting reader submissions to be published on the blog. Examples of things we are looking for might include, but are certainly not limited to:

  • Insights, advice, and thoughts on interacting with patients
  • How healthcare legislation and scope of practice laws affect your practice
  • The nurse practitioner education
  • How nurse practitioners fit into the healthcare landscape
  • Cool, new practice innovations
  • Your personal experience working with NPs or practicing as a nurse practitioner

How long should my article be?

Generally, the best blog posts are anywhere between 400 and 800 words, however we don't have strict guidelines regarding article length. Whatever length you choose, make sure your post is well-written and clearly conveys your thoughts. We hate proofreading! Please check for grammatical errors before sending your post our way.

What should I write about?

We accept articles covering anything healthcare, and especially nurse practitioner or physician assistant, related. The beauty of healthcare is that it covers economics, politics, clinical knowledge, workplace issues, education and more. You name it, it is probably related to the wide world of medicine.

Who will read my article?

MidlevelU has a dedicated following of over 100,000 monthly readers and growing. Most of our readers are aspiring and practicing nurse practitioner or physician assistants. So, submitting an article is a great way to share advice, experiences, and opinions with the professional community. You retain the rights to your content so feel free to publish your article elsewhere as well.

I've got a million things to write about. Where do I start?

Once you've put your thoughts to print, submit your well-written, error-free article to publishme@midlevelu.com and we'll look it over.

Happy writing! We can't wait to see what you have to say.
